Gum Junk Shop!
Kids will be rolling in the aisle with Midge as they sing, dance, and do sign language while learning about famous twentieth century American women. We will do the hula to learn about Queen Lilioukalani, and sign language while Marion Anderson sings, "He's got the Whole World in His Hands." With new words to Bingo and Clementine we will learn about Rear Admiral Grace Hopper, Gertrude Ederle, and Jeanette Rankin. A little magic brings Maria Tallchief alive! Let Midge teach your students about our great foremothers of the twentieth century. This play is written especially for elementary students. After viewing the play as an assembly upper elementary students can participate in workshops where the students participate in various songs, dance, and art to produce a presentation on some other famous women. Teacher study guide is available
